Peer Warm Line

A warm line is a peer-operated, compassionate listening line. Compassionate people with lived experience with mental health histories are happy to speak with you. The operators can also can suggest resources in the community to callers.

Operators talk about day to day experiences living with a mental health issues, and focus on the transformation and recovery possibilities from a place where many people feel disabled, isolated and perhaps stuck, The Operators can provide local, state and national resources to assist callers in their recovery. The message of HOPE is emphasized, strong and clear, based on the personal accomplishments and achievements of wellness by the Operators. While we recognize that wellness fluxuates from day to day, and sometimes from hour to hour, this is something that our Peer Operators can talk about.

Our warm line is accessible through a toll-free number, (877) 733-7563. This number can be easily remembered as it can be spelled as 877 PEER LNE on a standard phone. (On a Blackberry the PEER LNE mnemonic does not translate.)

Due to a recent collaboration with another Recovery Learning Community of the Northeast, we have expanded our hours to six evenings a week.

The hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday from 4pm-8pm.

New: Spanish-speaking operator on Sunday and Tuesday.

Peers can also request that our warmline operators perform regular outreach check-ins on a scheduled basis.
